What
is an Observer?
|
An Observer is someone who has passed the IAM Advanced Driving Test and has undergone training to enable them to help others to prepare for their Test. They will sit in and 'observe' your driving and will offer advice and guidance to assist you to pass the Advanced Test. They may also do demonstration drives to help show techniques.
Observers have to have a thorough knowledge of Advanced Driving before they can help to prepare others for the Institute's Advanced Driving Test. This will include having a good knowledge and understanding of the Institute's Official book"Pass Your Advanced Driving Test", and 'The Highway Code'.
Observers are trained to a very high standard using practical and written tests.
