The main route to the Advanced Test is through the IAM Package "Skill for Life" which includes membership of the Colchester Group, the book "Pass your Advanced Driving Test" (or "Pass your Advanced Motorcycling Test" for Bikers), a copy of the Highway Code, preparation from the local IAM Group to get you to the Test standard, the IAM Test and your first years membership of the national institute when you pass.

Our Group has regular meetings - check the events page for further details. Meetings are informal and afford an opportunity to meet like-minded people as well as to hear speakers mainly talk about motoring matters.  All meetings are open to non-members who are made most welcome.  The Group also publishes a bi-monthly newsletter that contains articles relating to both advanced driving techniques and general motoring interests.
